Website Privacy Notice
How we handle website visits and project inquiries.
Effective and last updated:
1. Scope
This notice explains how Oops Lab LLC (“Oops Lab,” “we,” or “us”) handles personal information when you visit our consultancy website at oopslab.ai or contact us about a project. It covers website inquiries about AI automation, websites, SEO, and custom software.
Our separate software products may have their own notices. The existing product privacy policy remains available for those products. This website notice governs consultancy-site visits and inquiries where the two notices overlap. Handling of client systems and data during paid work is addressed in the applicable project agreement and any data-processing terms.
2. Information collected
Project inquiries. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, selected service, project description, and any business name or website you choose to provide. We also receive information you send us by email and in follow-up correspondence.
Technical information. GitHub Pages hosts this website. GitHub records visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes. Hosting, form, and email providers may also process request times, browser information, and other technical information needed to deliver and protect their services.
You can browse without submitting an inquiry. Please send only the details needed to start a project discussion. Do not include passwords, access tokens, payment-card details, sensitive personal records, or confidential client datasets in the inquiry form.
3. How information is used
- To respond to your inquiry, understand your requirements, and discuss potential work.
- To prepare proposals and manage related business correspondence.
- To operate the website, troubleshoot delivery problems, and protect against spam and abuse.
- To maintain relevant business records, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. We do not sell inquiry information or share it for targeted advertising. The interactive examples on the homepage use preset content in your browser; they do not send their example messages to a live AI model or email recipient.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on steps you request before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and protecting the website, applicable legal obligations, or consent where required.
4. Providers and disclosures
Your information passes through providers needed to operate the site and respond to you:
- FormSubmit processes the inquiry form and forwards submissions to our business email. See its privacy notice and service documentation.
- Google Gmail processes and stores correspondence received in our business mailbox. See Google’s privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages hosts the website and processes technical request information. See GitHub Pages data collection and the GitHub privacy statement.
We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights or address abuse, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable law. This notice does not promise that every provider uses the same storage locations or retention periods.
5. Cookies and browser storage
The consultancy homepage does not include advertising trackers or an analytics service. Its code does not save inquiry content in cookies or local storage. The optional “Copy project details” button writes the details to your clipboard only when you select it.
FormSubmit and its spam-prevention services may use cookies or similar technology when you interact with their services, including the form’s fallback submission page. Other linked websites have their own practices. Browser settings can restrict cookies, although some third-party functionality may be affected.
6. Retention
We retain correspondence as needed to respond to an inquiry, manage a business relationship, and address recordkeeping, legal, or dispute-related needs. The relevant period depends on whether an inquiry becomes a project and the nature of the records.
FormSubmit currently states that it retains a submission archive for 30 days. That limit applies to its archive, not to copies delivered to our mailbox or records maintained for a client engagement. You may contact us to request deletion; some records may need to be retained where legally required or necessary for legitimate recordkeeping or disputes.
7. Security and international processing
The website and form endpoint use HTTPS. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed secure. Contact us if you believe information sent through this site has been exposed or misused.
Oops Lab is based in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location. Their notices describe their international-processing practices.
8. Your choices and requests
Email dev@oopslab.ai to ask about information we hold, request access, correction, or deletion, or ask us to stop following up about an inquiry. We may need to verify your identity before handling a request.
Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint to a privacy regulator. We will handle requests within applicable legal requirements. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
9. Children, updates, and contact
This consultancy website is intended for business contacts and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
We will update the date on this notice when it changes and provide additional notice when required by law. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to dev@oopslab.ai.
